So let’s kick off this comeback tour with some useful links for the writers in the crowd.
For the whole month of September, Jane Ann McLachlan had a Marketing series on her blog. I’ll admit I’m a little behind in the series, like by about, oh, say 20 days or so. Some of the advice offered is no news to me, but so far I have walked away with some notes jotted down on the good old notepad – so it’s worth a visit to her blog.
BiblioCrunch is a new website to me, and I believe I stumbled over it on Facebook? I haven’t done a ton of digging through the site, but at glance it seems to have a bit of useful information for writers. What brought me to the site was their article 10 Book Marketing Mistakes Self-Published Authors Make. For me most of it is old news, but anyone still starting out I would say might find some helpful information. I know there’s a few I wished someone had told me when I started out. So, if you’re feeling saucy, it’s a quick read.
The last tidbit of the week, I have no idea how I came across this website. But I like it enough that I signed up for the weekly digest. That says a lot, because I’ve recently done an Inbox overhaul and unsubscribed from tons of newsletters to avoid time-suck websites when I should be writing instead. But I digress, I haven’t sat down to poke through the whole website, but so far there has been something click worthy in every digest. Stop on by Writerly Designed and check out their blog, you’re bound to find something useful.
What about you, have you come across anything useful this week? I'd love to hear about it in the comments!
If you haven't followed yet, let me invite you to now *insert gracious curtsy here* I'd love to see you stick around. Just fill out the handy Follow Blog widget on the side there, grab some coffee, and hang out for a while!
